Day 1 Arrive in Chennai
Upon arrival in Chennai, you will meet with our representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day at leisure or exploring the local area by interacting with locals, visiting the nearby market and also you can taste the local lip-smacking food of South India. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2 Chennai - Tirupati - Chennai
Today, after having the early breakfast, leave for the Tirupati excursion. Upon arrival in the Tirupati proceed for the temple tour of the Tirupati.
Tirupati is located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is an ancient town of Hindu temple with historical references in the Puranas. Tirupati is famous for its ancient temple.
You will visit some of the most respected and holy temples of both Hindu and Jain temples that make the Tirupati most divine and sacred of India. Here you will visit some of the famous temples of Tirupati: Venkateswara Temple, Padmavathi Temple, Govindaraja Temple, Kapila Theertham, Kalyana Venkateshwara Temple, Kodandarama Temple and ISKCON Temple. Later, return to Chennai and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 Chennai - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram
This morning after the scrumptious breakfast, you will drive to Mamallapuramalso known as Mahabalipuram. Enroute visit Kanchipuram the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of thousand Temples. Kanchipuram is a major place of Tamil learning as well as an important place of pilgrimage. Apart from temples, the city is also famous for its silk weavers where you can shop for Silk Sarees. Later afternoon, proceed to Mahabalipuram.
Mahabalipuram, also known as Mamallapuram the place for the UNESCO World Heritage Site of 7thand 8thcentury Hindu Group of Monuments & Temples at Mahabalipuram. It is one of the most famous tourist sites in India among travellers.
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 Mahabalipuram
This morning after the delicious breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of the Mahabalipuram. This is the same place where the Pallava rulers built some beautiful caves, temples and monuments.Your visit of the day is Krishna Mandapam – this is the oldest and largest Hindu rockcut temple in Mahabalipuram. Continuevisiting the Shore Temple which is a group of one large and two small temples which was built during the 8th century. Later, visit the visit Five Rathas also known as PanchRathas or PandavaRathas. It is an example of monolithic temples and each was created in a different style. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 5 Mahabalipuram - Vellore - Tiruvannamali
On this day, after your mouth-watering breakfast drive to Tiruvannamalai. Tiruvannamalai is a famous pilgrim place located at the foothills of Annamalai hills. En route visit to Vellore, visit SripuramGolden Temple - the only temple that is covered in real gold foil andregarded as the the only temple to do that. Continue driving to Tiruvannamali. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 Tiruvannamalai
On the 6th day of your South India temple tour after breakfast, you will embark on exploring Tiruvannamalai city by visiting Arunachalesvara Temple, AnnamalaiyarTemple, PadaveduRenugammbalTemple, ThennnagurPandurangar Temple and DevikapuramPeriyanayagiAmmanTemple. After a spiritual day, come back to the hotel and overnight stay in the hotel.
Day 7 Tiruvannamalai - Chidambaram - Kumbakonam
This morning after breakfast leave for Kumbhakonam which is famous as the temple town and home to around 180 temples. En route visit the Chidambaram famed for the Hindu temple dedicated to Nataraja and Govindaraja – the form of Shiva. The temple has carving wallsthat display all the 108 karanas from the Natya Shastra by Bharata Muniand all these dance postures form an Indian classical dance, Bharatanatyam. Later continue driving to Kumbakonam. Upon arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Kumbakonam.
Day 8 Kumbakonam - Tanjore (Thanjavur)
Today, after breakfast you will explore another temple town – Kumbakonam which is one of the oldest townsof Tamil Nadu. It is also famous for the Mahamaham festival. Visit the Navagraha Temple and other temples in the city that will take you to ancient times and will give you a spiritual feeling during the temple tour. Later, after a day full of spirituality, leave for another place i.e. Tanjore also known as Thanjavur. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and overnight stay in Tanjore.
Day 9 Tanjore - Rameshwaram
After a scrumptious breakfast, today you will embark on another famous city of temples called Tanjore. Here, you will visitBrihadeeswara Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the oldest Shiva temple in India. This is among the Great Living Chola temple.
Thanjavur is an important center of South Indian religion, art, and architecture and also the birthplace ofmusic, musical instruments, dance and traditional handicrafts. Here, most of the Great Living Chola Temples which are UNESCO World Heritage monuments are located inThanjavur. The city is an important agricultural site located at the heart of the region also known as the Rice Bowl of Tamil Nadu. Later, you will leave for the Rameshwaram. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and overnight stay at Rameshwaram.
Day 10 Rameshwaram - Madurai
In the morning, after the lip-smacking breakfast proceed to Madurai. Upon reaching the Madurai, complete the check in formalities at the hotel. Refresh yourself in your cozy room. Rest of the day at leisure. Interact with the locals and explore the surroundings on your own. Later come back to the hotel and overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 11 Madurai
On this morning after having your breakfast, you will proceed to explore the Madurai city which is believed to be more than 2500 years old. You will visit the Meenakshi Temple also known as Meenakshi Amman Temple is an important and ancient temple of India. This is a very beautiful temple constructed by the Pandyan kings and dedicated to Goddess Parvati and the Lord Shiva. Afternoon at leisure or free for shopping. Overnight stay at Madurai.
Day 12 Madurai - Trichy
On this day, after the mouth-watering breakfast leave for Trichy. Upon arrival at the Trichy, check in at your pre booked hotel. Freshen yourself and rest of the day at leisure. You can explore the city surroundings on foot, taste the local cuisine and interact with the locals. Later, come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at Trichy.
Day 13 Trichy
After breakfast embark on the temple tour of Trichy also known as Tiruchirappalli visiting Srirangam, located on an island of Srirangam the house of Sri Ranganathaswamy temple.
Later, visit the Rock Fort, Tirchy's most famous landmark which is 84 meters high rock. The most amazing fact about the rock is that it is one of the oldest in the world. LalitankuraPallaveswaram is an added attraction in the fort and ancient temple that was built during the reign ofthe Pallava rulers. After a spiritual day, come back to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 14 Trichy - Chennai
This morning your South Indian Temple comes to an end. After the delicious breakfast check out from the hotel and drive back to Chennai. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Relax yourself and pack your bag to board your flight next morning to your home country. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Chennai.
Day 15 Chennai & Departure
After breakfast, transfer you to the airport to board the flight back to your home with a lot of blessings.
